Shadows of David Thompson Review
Over the years, I've become a George Sibley fan.After watching some of his earlier, mostly environmental works, I realized that George was a dedicated, sensitive filmmaker.
George thoroughly researches his subject matter, about which he's very choosey and then sets about to create an always technically correct film. His photography is brilliant and his editing is precise. Truly, I haven't yet seen anyone better at what he does.
If you're the least bit interested in the subject matter, this is a no-brainer.
If you want to see and enjoy the work of a dedicated filmmaker, by all means start collecting George Sibley films.
I didn't know one single thing about David Thompson until I saw this film. Now I know a lot about an interesting adventurer and I watched a beautifully crafted film.
Not many guys like George Sibley out there. We're lucky to have him.
