Chicago Metallic Non-Stick Roast 'N Broil Pan with Non-Stick Rack, 13 by 9 by 2-1/4-Inch Review
When I first grabbed this pan in its packaging, I thought there must be something extra included underneath the pan. Nope, this pan is just built out of heavy gauge steel. This pan is made by cutting a pattern out of the steel and then all 4 sides are folded together and the flaps from the long sides wrapped around the ends. The seams are so tight on the inside it almost, almost being the key word, looks like they were welded together. The top edge has a wire rod running around the perimeter and then the sides are rolled over it to give the pan rigidity. Both the rack and pan have a non-stick coating which should make clean-up easy. I'll have to see about that after I roast a whole chicken.Lastly, this pan comes with a 25 year warranty.
UPDATE: After using this pan for 30 days I'm more than happy with my purchase. I've roasted 2 beef standing rib roasts, 2 5-rib pork roasts and several chickens. Clean up is a piece of cake. Even things that seemed baked on washed right off including the rack. The pan did take on a slight patina after the first use but hasn't gotten any worse.
