The double skewer design is great. The tines are nice and long, the pointy bits are good and sharp and go through everything I tried them on. The problem is the slippery round handle. You have to grip the food itself to turn the skewer over. If you're doing tomatoes, you're going to wreck one, and if you're doing chicken you just touched raw meat with the tongs and have to go clean them. It would be better if the handle had a flattened end so you could grip that for turning.
